Beta testers can now experience WhatsApp's redesigned emoji reaction panel through the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.6.15 update, available on the Google Play Store, as reported by WABetaInfo.

This revamped interface in Meta's instant-messaging app organizes emoji reactions within chats, groups, and channels for improved navigation. Previously, reactions were displayed in an extended vertical list, which proved cumbersome, especially for highly active channels with frequent reactions. The updated design adopts a compact format, showcasing four reactions per row to save vertical space and reduce excessive scrolling.

In chats and groups, reactions will remain in a vertical list format, displaying the names of contacts who reacted to messages. However, WhatsApp has introduced a modernized tab design at the top, giving the interface a sleek, polished look.

The update also distinguishes how reactions are displayed across different contexts. Channels, where followers' identities remain private unless saved in the user’s contact list, will feature a new grid layout for reactions. Conversely, in chats and groups, user information remains relevant, retaining the vertical list format but enhanced with redesigned tabs.
